Tibet has designated 494 projects  as key construction projects during the tenth Five-Year Plan period  （2001-2005 ）， according to the Tibet Development Planning Commission.
  Tibet will invest a total of 99 billion yuan in these projects， with  457 newly launched involving a combined investment of 90 billion yuan.  In addition ， 37 projects will continue to be undertaken ， with a total  investment of nearly nine billion.
  The key projects during the tenth Five-Year Plan period will focus  on comprehensive development of farming and livestock breeding， transport，  posts and telecommunications， energy resources and urban infrastructure  construction. Enditem
